Today, on March 16, the first anniversary of the opening of the Children’s Help Center in Turiysk (Volyn region), the team of the International Anti-Corruption Assembly and the International Charitable Help Corporation visited the Center to congratulate our volunteers and the children they care for.
Thanks to the charity actions «Children for Children» and «Give a little piece of warmth», the help of donor partners from Europe and the teamwork of the Assembly and the Foundation from different regions of Ukraine, during the year the Center provides the necessary needs to children from large families (from 3 to 12 children), low-income families and families of military personnel, IDPs and orphans living in the Turiysk territorial community. The Center was also able to provide for some families from villages in the Turia district of Volyn Oblast, such as Turopin, Solovychi, Bobly, Obenizhi, Novyi Dvir, Mokrets, Revushky, Tagachyn, Tulichiv. Children’s clothing, shoes, stationery, developmental toys, books, soft toys – all this can be found and selected for a child at the Center.
After analyzing the data, we summarized the results of the Children’s Help Center in Turiysk for the year:
- The Center received and provided more than 720 families with the necessary things.
- Over 5.5 tons of humanitarian aid was sent to the Center during the year,
- The Center opens its doors to young visitors every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.
- The total time of the Center’s operation was 212 hours.
Today, 53 families have visited the Center. The children were able to receive additional small gifts and sweets.
Later, the Center will also donate some books and stationery to the libraries of pre-schools and schools in the local community.
The Children’s Help Center in Turiysk was opened on March 16, 2024, at the initiative of the International Anti-Corruption Assembly and the International Charitable Help Corporation, with the cooperation of Svitlana Fedkevych, who provided the premises free of charge. Every Sunday, mothers, fathers and grandmothers with children whose families are in difficult circumstances come to the Center to receive the necessary things for their children.
The «Children for Children» charity action was launched on March 29, 2024. To date, educational institutions in Kyiv and Kyiv region, including 47 secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, as well as 29 pre-schools, have taken part in the action.
The «Give a little piece of warmth» charity action was launched in early fall 2024. Kyiv residents took part in the action.
Our team is sincerely grateful to everyone who does not stand aside in this difficult time and supports and helps children.
